The trailed mower-conditioner KPP-4.2 “ST42” is designed for mowing grass with simultaneous flattening of the mown plants and laying them on the stubble in a windrow. The mower can be used for mowing grass without flattening and collecting the mass into a windrow. The mower-conditioner is combined with tractors of traction class 1.4 (MTZ-80/82).
For high-quality cleaning of various types of grass, the mower is equipped with a finger cutting device as standard. And also, at the request of consumers, for an additional payment, it is possible to equip it with a fingerless cutting device. The design of the fingerless cutting device allows the mower to be used for cutting grass for the second and subsequent cuts.
The mower-conditioner forms a fluffy swath, which, in combination with flattening (which opens the integumentary tissue), ensures active evaporation of moisture and rapid wilting of the mown grass, thereby reducing the time required to prepare forage.
At the request of consumers, the mower can be equipped with a metal or rubberized flattening device.
For ease of transportation on roads, the mower is equipped with a system for quick transfer to the transport position.
